Training Update ... It's the Protein Talking

In case anyone was wondering, my training with my new best friend Adam Gross is going absolutely GREAT! Not only do my quads not tighten up to the point where I can barely walk, but I'm beginning to turn heads in Hoboken.  For example, we were running along the water by Pier A in Hoboken and these two innocent girls hear what they think is a brush of wind, but, in fact, it is me running by them.  The one girl yells out, "Aren't You Cold?"  She may or may not have been commenting on the fact that I decided to wear shorts in the freezing cold, but I see it as Progress.

Protein Update:

Just yesterday I decided to double my protein intake each calendar day.  Hopefully this helps me recover from DOMS more quickly.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with DOMS, it is the extreme muscle soreness that you suffer from days after a punishing exercise regiment.  Common victims of DOMS include Dodgeball players, Weightlifters, and Runners.  I feel confident that I can overcome DOMS and continue making strides in 2010.  Thanks for your ongoing support...

Orlando Magic Update:

Are you kidding me with J.J. Redick?  I knew this guy was going to be our go-to guy in the fourth quarter sooner or later.  Not only are they questioning whether he should replace Vince Carter in the starting lineup, but my roommate Joe (Maryland Class of 2006) is beginning to come around even though he hates Duke.  Regardless of what JJ does down the home stretch, I am confident so confident is our bench (i.e. The Polish Hammer, Air France, and White Chocolate) that I am already looking for NBA Finals tickets.
