Monday:
I went to work on Monday with a chip on my shoulder, ready to take the financial world by storm. Next thing I know it's 9:15 and my roommate alerts me to the fact that the Giants were playing their first preseason game that evening and it was free wing night at 10th and Willow. Fast forward several hours and there we were at the bar working on our 4th pitcher and crushing a second plate of wings.
I just thought about the fact that I had wings tonight too (Sunday) and I might get sick before this post is complete...
Tuesday:
Back in the gym for the fourth straight day to prepare for Janal's birthday weekend. One protein shake down and things were looking good. Twenty minutes later, I'm crushing 'Grandma' shots at Turtle Club with a couple followers of Romo's Spot. One of these days I'll take a closer look at my decision-making processes.
Wednesday:
HANG ON TO THE ROOF!!
My roommate (not a follower of Romo's Spot) and his boy from RIT meet me at Frying Pan immediately after work. We figured this would be a great spot to promote our new band, NOJO, and work on getting our first gig. The forecast read 'cloudy with a chance of Purple Rain' so we followed our feet to Brojos. One fishbowl down and we were ready for Skeeball. The bad news is that I found another game that I suck at, but my roommate rolled a 420 and may have set a record. The bar most likely ran out of Natty Light pounders by the time we left that place.
I really enjoy work the next day after 4 hours of drunk sleep...
Thursday:
Summer Intern Farewell Party!
We took our talents to Bourbon St on restaurant row in the city and really set the tone early. I was told that I resemble Tucker Max from I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, which may or may not be better than 'The White - Drake'. Hours later I'm parading down 42nd Street devouring a hot dog and pretzel from a street vendor.
I think the only good decision I made all week was passing up on The Bistro Lounge at the PABT bowling alley late night...
Friday:
Karaoke for Janal's Bday at Duet 35 in Korea Town (pictures to follow)...
Let's just say that my friends are so talented and leave it at that. Went to bed at 4am with dreams of a Hoboken Bar Crawl that was scheduled to start at noon the next day.
Joe - You're welcome for voicemail.
Saturday:
Thanks for the SMedium Bar Crawl T-Shirt...
13 hours out on the town without any signs of slowing down until I threw up at Turtle Club may go down as one of my most epic performances. I think we were all on the same page once we met up at Texas Arizona. I'm surprised Janal made it as long as she did, but we continued to push through even after she was put to bed. Janal Crush!
A scheduling conflict landed me at my friend's engagement party Saturday night. Of course I thought it was alright to show up wearing guyliner in preparation for my Mark Wahlberg halloween costume from the movie Rock Star. Luckily the lighting situation at Turtle Club was in my favor; however, I'm fairly confident there were some side conversations regarding my overall appearance by this point in the night. I made it home in time to schedule a meeting with my Life Coach for first thing Monday morning.
Running at the Front of the Pack,
Romo
