Lost Finale Party Recap

Greetings,

In the days leading up to the Lost Series Finale, I thought long and hard about how far this show has come over the years and how my life had changed. I recall being in Victoria Langland's History class at Lafayette College and hearing about this show called Lost where strangers crash landed on a remote island in the south pacific. Although my buddy Magee made a great pitch, I didn't initially jump on the Lost bandwagon because I found the commercial preview annoying when Charlie (The Hobbit from Lord of the Rings) asks the question, "Guys! WHERE ARE WE??"

What a difference 6 years makes...

Most people grow up after college and get more mature after embarking on the real world. I decided to take another route and divulge myself into these characters lives on this mysterious island. Embarringly enough, I began starting most conversations when meeting new people with the question, "Do You Watch LOST?" I was overly excited about the Finale and invited everyone I knew to my red carpet event last night. Even though I got limited feedback from my guest list I felt great about my party and I was sure that it would blow away my Premiere Party back in February (2 Guests).

Well here are the results:

Red Carpet Party - 3 Guests
Finale Episode - 1 Guest

When my first 3 guests showed up for the Lost Recap at 7pm I didn't think they would be the only ones to show up. I was sure that the floodgates would open and several other people were on their way. I had my stadium seating ready for at least 8-10 people and jumped the gun a little bit by picking up a 30-pack and ordering 70 wings from Wings-To-Go. Luckily my roommates were there by default so we Crushed a lot of the wings, but we still had plenty of leftovers.

I'll admit that I got choked up midway through the Finale episode. I'm pretty sure everyone else in the room was on the same emotional roller coaster ride, but they decided to laugh at me rather than join me in my tears. When the show finally ended at 11:30pm EST I felt like I got some closure; however, we immediately tried to make sense of it all by asking more questions.

On a positive note, there wasn't much too clean up after the party and I woke up smiling...

"See you in another life brotha'"

Running at the Front of the Pack,

Romo
